The Start of a New Year

I have been wanting to have a place for my family and friends to be able to see Max grow and hear all about the new things he is doing. For a year I have been telling myself I needed to do this. Well, Max is a few days into his second year of life and I am determined to keep you updated on this awesome little guy. So...we will start with his birthday.

It was the perfect day...well really weekend. And a long one at that. We spend his actual birthday..July 4, with both our families. We went to Lane with Michael's parents, which was really fun. Max had a great time. It was like he knew it was his special day. We then took a little nap (Max couldn't wait until we got home...he was worn out.)

Later that day we went swimming with my family. It really was a fun, relaxing day to enjoy the miracle that God has given us!!

Max's HUGE First Birthday Bash was Saturday. We got up very early and with the help of many wonderful family members, set up for this bash.

It was perfect, except for the rain, which turned out to be a blessing too. Max was a doll, as usual. He was happy and enjoyed all his guest. We had a wonderful time with all our family and friends.

The highlight, at least for me, was his birthday cake. I absolutely LOVED it. It was perfect and delicious.

Max had fun opening all his presents, which he has been playing with all week, but his absolute favorite thing is his new red car. He laughs when he sees it.

Well, I guess I have given you the highlights of Max's first birthday. He is truly the joy of my heart. I know that many of you prayed for years for us to be blessed with a child. And let me tell you, God out did himself when he made this little guy. He is a complete joy and I am so privileged to be his mother. I cannot believe that God entrusted me with this child.
